After great loss during the economic downturn, Jorge Perez – one of the most well known developers in Miami – is coming back strong with a new condo hotel in Miami project. He believes that 2013 will be the best year of recovery for South Florida. This year, developers Perez of the Related Group and Los Angeles nightclub entrepreneur Sam Nazarian have planned the construction of a $300-million condo hotel in Miami. Together they will co-own the 133-room hotel, while Related alone will manage the development of the 450 condominiums above.
The Philippe Starck-designed project, SLS Hotel and Residences, will be constructed at 1300 South Miami Avenue in Brickell and is scheduled for completion in 2015. Condo prices will average roughly at $600,000 per unit, while hotel rates will be right around $200 per night. The condo hotel in Miami is also going to feature 15,000 square feet of meeting space, retail at the ground level, a grand spa and two pools. Three featured on-site restaurants include world-renowned Katsuya by Stark, Bazaar by chef Jose Andres, and a restaurant by Michael Schwartz and Michael Genuine.
CONDO HOTEL IN MIAMI
The hotel component of the project will take up 9 floors starting from the lobby; the 9th floor will function as a divider between the condos and the hotel, and will feature an elevated 200 feet long pool, spa deck, and amenities such as the HYDE bar and Loung and Ciel Spa. Residential units will begin at the 10th floor and continue up to the 51st floor, with 11 units per floor. 1, 2, and 3 bedroom models will be available, as well Pent House units on the top floors. While residents will have the freedom to enjoy many of the Hotel’s services, they will also have their own rooftop pool and private spa, as well as a variety of other great amenities.
