''The Geckoes" is a mid-century modern architectural gem-one of the last remaining South Florida properties designed by Palm Beach architect Byron Simonson who also designed the Colony Hotel and the former La Coquille Club in Manalapan, and was a protege of Addison Mizner and Maurice Fatio. The Geckoes is less than 500' from the Intracoastal Waterway. The owners, the Lord and Lady of Wrentnall, have architecturally restored the interior (2012-2015)-keeping it as original as possible to the original blueprints which the owners have: built-ins, cabinets, vaulted cypress ceilings and commanding exposed beams. An open floor plan lends easy transition from the more formal living room area to long dining room, work/office area and a pleasantly functional open kitchen in keeping with the design.
